Calling all Superstar Bike Mechanics
We are looking for an experienced bike mechanic to join Wheelworx – The biggest and best Bike shops in Ireland.
What you’ll do:
* Serve as the operations lead for your store’s service center, engaging with customers to diagnose issues and recommend bicycle parts.
* Be accountable for all decisions relating to workflow, staffing mechanics, and KPI’s.
* Manage and control service costs by reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly service reports and addressing all variances.
Job Description
As a Wheelworx Mechanic, no one day is the same as the last. This job is all about keeping bikes running flawlessly and building relationships so their owners love riding them. We are looking for a skilled technician who will complete more than 30% of the total repairs for the team. This Lead Technician role focuses on repairing bikes quickly and consistently, while keeping accuracy and quality a top priority. The team and our customers will be trusting you with the most complex repairs. This role requires elevated technical skills as well as communication, leadership, and problem solving.

Skills And Education/Experience
Essential:
* Have a Passion for Bicycles of all types.
* You will be familiar with carrying out complex jobs on your own bicycle and/or you may have worked in another Bike Workshop.
* You will be familiar with bicycle parts.
* Mechanical, detail-oriented mindset and good with tools.
* Professional & customer orientated.
* Hard Working.
* Enthusiastic.
* Receptive to feedback and following shop procedures.
* Strives for perfection.
* Enjoys working and problem-solving in a team environment.
* Good level of English language.
* You enjoy taking responsibility.
* You may be a past club rider / still currently involved in cycling.
