About the role
This role will provide help and support to both new and existing customers through our online and traditional channels, either via telephone or email, with the aim being to deliver Customer Service excellence in line with business values and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer incoming calls in a timely and helpful manner.
* Acknowledging and responding to customer enquiries in line with our Customer Service Guidelines and reassuring them of a solution.
* Liaise with other departments ensuring high standards of service and precise communication is maintained
* Work closely with the production site’s, transport department’s, scheduling or service engineers to ensure the timely despatch of orders and completion of site visits.
* Attend and prepare for daily and weekly meetings where required.
* Listening effectively to customers, showing empathy, and understanding
* Resolve problems to customer’s satisfaction within agreed timelines
* Develop and maintain a full knowledge of client products and services.
* Maintain consistent communication with customers to which you are assigned ownership of and ownership of complete order journey.
* Logging calls via internal systems and escalating requirements where appropriate
* Accessing, updating, and managing customer requirements via our integrated software system (ERP package) and all other internal systems
* To achieve KPI Targets as set by the Customer Service Manager/Line manager
Qualifications
* Five GCSE passes (or equivalent) including English and Maths
Experience & Knowledge
* Proven and demonstrable customer service experience dealing with calls and queries within a formal customer service environment e.g. a helpdesk, call centre etc.
* Previous sales experience is essential
* Experience of sales order processing
Abilities & Skills
* Excellent telephone manner and communication skills both verbal and written
* Proven track record at delivering results in a timely and professional manner
* Ability to manage information and process in accurate and timely fashion
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Strong customer focus and attention to detail
* Excellent IT Skills – MS Office/Excel experience are crucial
