The company also develops innovatively designed new-build projects. This company is part of a wider group which includes substantial interests in leisure, retail, office and hotel developments. The business was founded over 50 years ago and has gone from strength to strength to become a successful property developer with a substantial landbank and development pipeline.
About Your New Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will take the lead in managing the entire lifecycle of this major residential development project. This includes planning, coordination, execution, and ensuring successful project delivery within the agreed scope, timeline, and budget. You will work closely with a diverse team and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure the project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the planning and execution of the 550-apartment development project, ensuring that all project goals, timelines, and budgets are achieved.
2. Oversee the procurement process for contractors, suppliers, and consultants, ensuring alignment with project needs and expectations.
3. Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure all design and technical requirements are met.
4. Develop, manage, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments, proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
5. Supervise day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress is on track, quality control is maintained, and health and safety standards are adhered to.
6. Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external contractors, and clients, delivering regular project updates and fostering open communication.
7. Ensure compliance with all Irish construction regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental guidelines throughout the project.
8. Maintain accurate project documentation in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
What Skills You Need
1. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager within the residential development sector in Ireland.
2. Strong understanding of the Irish construction process, local building regulations, and residential design practices.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale residential developments in Ireland.
4. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders.
6. In-depth knowledge of Irish construction regulations, health & safety standards, and quality management practices.
7. Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
8. PMP, PRINCE2, or similar Project Management certification preferred.
9. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Aconex).
