Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering cutting-edge automated equipment solutions. We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and commissioning machine control system software for high-tech engineering applications.
Responsibilities:
* Design and integrate control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, Robotics, Motion Control, HMI, SCADA, and Vision systems.
* Develop, test, commission, and support machine control software to meet project requirements.
* Design system architectures, process flows, and software design specifications.
* Ensure all equipment designs comply with CE, electrical, machinery safety, and client-specific standards.
* Create, interpret, and develop design and validation documentation for regulated industries.
* Specify and select control system components to meet project specifications.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary project team and support customers throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify opportunities to improve and standardize control system designs using the latest technologies.
Requirements:
* Experience in automated machine design, specification, and development.
* Strong expertise in PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems, preferably with Allen Bradley or Siemens platforms.
* Familiarity with software architectures and standards, including GAMP, ISA88, ISA95, and 21CFR Part 11 compliance.
* Hands-on experience with equipment testing and debugging.
* Knowledge of robotics, motion control, machine vision, and pneumatics (KUKA robot experience is a plus).
* Able to create and review technical documentation for regulated industries.
Qualifications:
* Level 8 qualification in engineering or a closely related discipline.
* 5+ years of relevant experience (desirable).
