Job Description
Morgan McKinley is acting on behalf of our client, a leading multi-disciplinary energy services company that provides intelligent solutions for energy efficiency and energy management.
The company is seeking an experienced Energy Manager to assist their global clients in achieving net zero goals through energy efficiency and decarbonisation strategies. The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader who can drive energy management programmes and initiatives across various sectors, providing high-quality support to identify, implement, and realise opportunities from energy and process data using the company's resource optimisation platform.
The successful Energy Manager will possess a strong understanding of how energy and process data are measured and organised through software and statistical analysis tools, combined with expertise in industrial processes and utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate client systems and processes, including SCADA systems, control systems, and metering systems, to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and onboard client accounts, working closely with design and commissioning teams to validate data and create meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and reports for client stakeholders.
* Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts (SMEs) to facilitate optimisation of client energy use and processes through the adoption of software solutions.
* Chair regular client reviews to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.
* Maintain open communication with client contacts to maximise benefits for the account.
* Implement EnMS systems and Customer Success Plans, collaborating with dedicated on-site energy teams.
* Foster effective communication with various stakeholders, including team leads, project managers, account managers, customers, suppliers, contractors, software development teams, and support teams.
* Pursue commercial opportunities, guiding clients towards software renewals and expanding services and sales into new sites within the existing customer base.
Required Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on energy management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold an engineering degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 50001 fundamentals and energy management principles.
* Comprehensive understanding of core energy systems, including refrigeration, HVAC, boilers, compressed air, and other industrial processing and controls systems.
* Advanced statistical analysis skills and knowledge.
* Proficiency in documentation and reporting.
* Professional certifications such as CEM and CMVP may offer a competitive advantage.
