Grundfos Manufacturing is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic Electrical Engineering team in Sunderland.

Your expertise will be crucial in supporting production and testing, providing essential documentation and technical support to drive excellence in our manufacturing processes.
You will also:
1. Deliver prompt and effective electrical engineering support for both pre-sales tenders and post-sales production.
2. Address sales enquiries by producing accurate pre-sale cost estimates and detailed drawing information.
3. Ensure timely completion of all drawings, bills of materials, and documentation to meet both company and external standards for sales orders.
4. Maintain and optimize controls and system products within Grundfos’ manufacturing systems.

Working in the Electrical Engineering team your primary duties will be:
1. To provide electrical design support to sales and our production, and project engineering functions.
2. Support product development both in manufacture and at interface with our sales and marketing functions.
3. Support product design, build, test and release through the stages of our product development process.
4. Support production process and facility development using Grundfos Production System.
5. Provide accurate and timely cost estimates to internal and external customers for control panels, electrical installations and systems.
6. Support the mechanical CAD team to produce detailed production models.
7. Provide technical support to production during build and test.
8. Provide technical support during customer FAT testing.
What experience and qualifications should you possess?
1. Must have experience of schematic design, and control panel layouts, be able to read and follow circuit drawings, and ideally have experience of control panel production.
2. Must be able to create electrical schematics and layout drawings for Low Voltage power & control circuits and/or industrial/commercial electrical installations.
3. Proficiency with electrical schematic software – Eplan Electric P8 preferred.
4. Knowledge of cable calculation software – e.g. Amtech.
5. Knowledge of lighting calculation software – e.g. Dialux.
6. Knowledge of EN61439 electrical standard and BS7671 requirements for electrical installations.
7. Experience of Inspection & Testing would be an advantage but not essential.
8. Knowledge of Form 4 control panel design would be an advantage but not essential.
9. Electrical engineering qualification to Degree level or equivalent (as a minimum HNC) and completion of an electrical apprenticeship is desirable.
10. Experience of advanced integrated manufacturing systems ERP/MRP - SAP is desirable.
11. Very good oral and written communication skills.
12. Attention to detail and methodical approach to planning and organisation.
13. A self-motivator.
14. Competent with IT and MS Office software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams & PowerPoint).
