Warehouse Manager
The primary function of this role is to manage day-to-day warehouse activities across site, providing up-to-date information and communication to the highest level internally and externally while ensuring all service levels are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities include managing and driving productivity and accuracy to maximize resources, adhering to customer service levels and targets. Leading by example, actively promotes a culture where health & safety, hygiene, quality, and customer service are of the highest priority.
Key Responsibilities:
* Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of department activities.
* Communication of key metrics to principals.
* Analysis of operations and staff.
* The completion of daily operational audits.
* Ensuring all operational functions and processes are completed in accordance with company policy and statutory legislation.
* Driving development and mobilization of standardized training and skills improvement within Supply Chain.
* Conducting daily shift meetings with staff, communicating shift expectations, company updates, and any improvements required.
* Supervising, managing, and assisting in daily Warehouse and Transport operations, ensuring all staff are operating to required standards and rates.
* Ensuring accuracy of consignments and supporting documentation across all client accounts.
* Maximizing warehouse storage capacity.
Key Performance Indicators:
* Compliance with health & safety and reduction in loss-time accidents.
* Control and management of absence within contractual levels.
* People development incorporating the completion of reviews.
* Budgetary responsibility with scope of functional accountability.
* Warehouse labor and associated productivity targets.
* Maximize warehouse utilization and associated operational space.
* Maintain stock through the completion of inventory checks and audits.
Requirements:
* Overall knowledge of Supply Chain with associated qualification.
* Excellent IT skills, SAP experience desirable.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Strong leadership and people skills.
* Strong data analysis.
* Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
* Degree/Qualification preferred.
