General Summary:
Office Manager (Fixed Term Contract 12-15 months)
This position will be based in our Cork office 5 days per week.
Job Overview:
Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Office Manager to cover maternity leave based in Cork, Ireland. The candidate will be required to work onsite carrying out several responsibilities of the Office Manager working with Site Leadership, supporting employee requirements, and managing the Administration Team.
Training and handover will be provided to cover the key responsibilities.
This is a fully onsite position in our city centre offices to support 600+ employees.
Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
1. Oversee and streamline day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring smooth functioning and efficiency.
2. Coordinate and manage the office’s administrative functions, such as admin team management, partnering with the facilities team, supplier relations, finance, IT, export compliance and procurement.
3. Collaborate with site leadership to identify operational needs, propose solutions and implement changes.
4. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection, confidentiality, and professional standards.
5. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the office’s growth initiatives.
6. Coordinate space planning requirements based on growth and site needs.
7. Implement and coordinate Employee Engagement & Wellbeing events for employees in the office on a regular basis while managing budgets.
8. Additional areas covered on an ad-hoc basis include, but are not limited to, raising purchase orders, maintaining H&S standards, business travel guidance, vendor account management, office procedural guidance.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Office Management area.
2. Experience managing a small team while supporting the wider office.
3. Excellent level of English.
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficient Microsoft Office Skills.
6. Experience working with Site Leadership and key Site Stakeholders.
7. Confident in working for a multinational company with offices worldwide, across time zones and cultures.
8. Superior organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task.
9. Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
10. Ability to be pro-active and anticipate the needs of others.
11. Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
12. Willingness to turn their hand to any request.
13. Dual ability to follow tight controls/processes one minute and to show initiatives needed when required the next.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Office Administration or related work experience.
OR
• Associate's degree and 5+ years of Office Administration or related work experience.
OR
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Office Administration or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
