We are recruiting a Metrology Engineer. This position reports to the Moulding Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Provide analytical support for moulded component batch release as and when required.
* Create and review Metrology reports in support of moulded component batch release and engineering study development.
* Maintain & troubleshoot measurement systems to ensure their continued optimum performance.
* Conduct statistical analysis on measurement results generated from the dimensional inspection of samples from moulding runs for new product introductions and replacement tools.
* Generate and maintain documentation required in support of new and existing metrology systems and process.
* Develop and qualify measurement systems for new product introductions as per project timelines.
* Ensure safety standards are met and safe working practices are adhered to.
* Identity and implement metrology and/or manufacturing related cost improvement projects and initiatives.
* Specification, evaluation and selection of new metrology equipment.
* Generation of validation documentation for the Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification of new metrology equipment.
* Carrying out component drawing assessments to evaluate their suitability for dimensional inspection.
* Participation in cross functional design for excellence workshops.
* Liaise with Division Engineering & R&D as required.
* Design and develop prototype fixtures for evaluation through Gauge R&R
* Convey learnings from prototypes to fixture manufactures for incorporation into final design.
* Participate in fixture design reviews prior to manufacture.
* Introduce fixtures per project timelines and budgets.
* Design and qualify instrument generated measurement reports in compliance with corporate and site data integrity policies and procedures.
* Present status updates at various management levels
* Interface with suppliers and plant customers.
Qualifications
* Degree (Level 7) in Engineering or related discipline is required.
* 2+ years' experience as a Metrology Technician or similar in combination products or a highly regulated industry.
* Experience of working with cGMP and ISO/FDA regulations and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
