Job Description
As a Payroll and Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing using Sage Payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves reconciling accounts, maintaining up-to-date financial records, and preparing VAT returns in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage payroll processing using Sage Payroll
* Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Utilize Revenue Online Service (ROS) for tax reporting and compliance
* Assist in producing financial reports and insights to support business decision-making
* Collaborate with the management team to streamline accounting processes
Requirements:
* Proven experience in Sage Payroll and accounting practices
* Strong understanding of account reconciliation and VAT return processes
* Familiarity with ROS and tax compliance in Ireland
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as part of a team
* Prior experience in a small business environment is advantageous
