Staff Grade Psychologist Adult Mental Health My client a busy Mental health HSE facility in South Dublin are looking for a Staff Grade Psychologist to provide psychological services as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Adult Mental Health Service, delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
The role involves assessment, intervention, consultation, and collaboration to support the psychological well-being of service users.
Responsibilities of a Staff Grade Psychologist Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including diagnostic interviews, psychometric testing, and clinical formulation.
Develop and implement evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
Provide crisis intervention and risk management support as required.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and mental health nurses.
Contribute to case discussions, care planning, and the development of holistic treatment plans.
Offer consultation and advice to other team members regarding psychological aspects of care.
Participate in service audits, evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the development and delivery of mental health promotion and psychoeducation initiatives for service users and their families.
Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) in line with regulatory and professional standards.
Participate in clinical supervision in accordance with HSE guidelines and psychological best practice.
Attend relevant training, conferences, and workshops to enhance professional skills.
Ensure adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines, including those related to data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards as set out by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the equivalent professional body Requirements of Staff Grade Psychologist A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology (QQI Level 9 equivalent) as recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).
Eligibility to work in Ireland and registration or eligibility for registration with the PSI or equivalent.
Experience in adult mental health services is desirable.
Knowledge and experience of psychological assessment tools, therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT), and multidisciplinary teamwork.
