Job Purpose
In this role, you will lead and coordinate Quality Assurance activities to ensure customer-specific requirements are captured and implemented into relevant business processes. You will provide leadership in best practices for Automotive and Medical Quality, leading improvement projects to enhance the QMS and reduce customer issues. You will also provide support to customers (on-site/remote) in the event of issues and take ownership of certain QMS processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitor and ensure compliance with ISO 9000; ISO 13485; ISO 14001
• Ownership of the PPAP process, validation process
• Support Customer and APQP processes
• Support Sales in ensuring that Customer-Specific Requirements are captured effectively and understood.
• Lead projects to implement Customer-Specific Requirements in the relevant business areas where required.
• Handle customer complaints using the 8D process
• Provide leadership to all teams on best practice Quality and provide training where required.
• Review and complete customer quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Lead improvement projects with cross-functional teams to continually improve the QMS.
• Support internal and external audits.
Education & Experience requirements:
• Third-level qualification in Quality, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent qualification, or extensive experience in a similar role
• Strong team member with the ability to identify and drive quality improvement programs.
• Ability to liaise with suppliers and customers in an informed professional manner.
• Excellent IT, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, coupled with involvement in cross-functional teams.
• Interest and willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks
• Strong sense of urgency and flexibility.
• Should be capable of preparing reports and presenting data graphically
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with peers and Managers
• At least 3-5 years' relevant Quality Engineering experience
