Project Manager Educational Project Location: North Dublin, Ireland Project Value: €20M Project Duration: 2 years Client: Renowned Irish Main Contractor Overview: We are working with a renowned Irish main contractor to source an experienced and dynamic Project Manager for an exciting new €20M educational project located in North Dublin. This project, with a duration of 2 years, involves the construction of a state-of-the-art educational facility that will include modern classrooms, administrative spaces, and additional amenities. The Project Manager will play a key role in delivering this project on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership: Take full responsibility for the planning, execution, and successful completion of the educational project. Team Management: Lead a team of engineers, site foremen, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery. Budget Management: Oversee the project budget, ensuring that costs are managed effectively, and project objectives are achieved within the financial constraints. Schedule Management: Develop, implement, and manage the project schedule to ensure timely delivery. Monitor progress and take corrective actions as needed to avoid delays. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all site operations are conducted in accordance with the company's health and safety policies, and in full compliance with relevant regulations. Quality Control: Ensure that all aspects of the project adhere to the highest quality standards and that all work complies with contract specifications and legal requirements. Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain communication with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or issues. Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project, assess their impact, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and safety issues. Procurement Management: Oversee procurement of materials and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness while maintaining project timelines. Contract Administration: Manage the administration of contracts, including reviewing and resolving contractual issues, preparing change orders, and managing any claims or disputes that arise. Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum 5-8 years experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably with experience in educational or similar public sector projects. Strong Knowledge of Building Regulations: In-depth understanding of building regulations, planning permissions, and construction standards specific to the educational sector. Track Record of Successful Project Delivery: Proven experience managing large-scale projects (preferably over €10M) from inception to completion, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction. Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams, contractors, and clients. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues early and implement effective solutions, ensuring the project stays on track. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting. Desirable Skills: Experience working on educational or institutional projects. Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM). Ability to handle complex stakeholder relationships with ease and diplomacy.
