Exyte is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team in Maynooth. This role will involve managing and maintaining financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with Irish accounting standards, preparing cash flow reports to Treasury, and general cash management.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
1. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
2. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled and input to group consolidation system.
3. Cash flow forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis, liaising with the project and commercial teams to collate accurate information and ensure timely submission of information.
4. Lease accounting and updating Tagetik leasing tool under IFRS16.
5. Running weekly billable reports and review and analysis of underutilisation within the operations teams.
6. Preparation of year-end audit files and liaising with auditors.
7. Support other finance work and project assignments as required.
8. Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting and submission on the group consolidation system.
9. Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and cost savings and assist in the implementation of improvements to financial procedures.
Show your expertise
1. A relevant professional qualification i.e., ACA or ACCA.
2. Minimum of 5 years PQE accounting, with a strong understanding of Irish tax and accounting practices.
3. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and IFRS.
4. In-depth understanding of Irish tax laws, VAT, PAYE/PRSI/USC regulations.
5. Familiarity with Revenue Online Service (ROS) and Irish VAT regulations.
