Job Title:
Dispatch Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day dispatch operations, ensuring products are correctly packed and dispatched to meet customer demand.
* Oversee a team of dispatch operatives, providing leadership and support to ensure productivity and efficiency.
* Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of all orders, adhering to customer specifications and deadlines.
* Work closely with the production team to ensure inventory levels are accurate and products are available for dispatch as required.
* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the dispatch area.
* Monitor and improve performance metrics, such as dispatch efficiency and accuracy.
* Organise and plan the daily dispatch schedule to maximise operational effectiveness.
* Handle any customer service issues related to dispatch, including delivery queries and complaints.
* Collaborate with the logistics team to optimise transportation routes and ensure cost-effective delivery solutions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in dispatch or logistics management, ideally within the food or manufacturing industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards within a warehouse or dispatch environment.
* Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
