Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and personable bartender to deliver a top-tier drinking experience for our guests. The bartender will craft creative cocktails that complement our high-end, locally sourced Irish dishes with an Asian twist, ensuring each drink enhances the dining experience. Knowledge of premium spirits as well as a flair for innovation, is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drink Preparation & Service:
* Prepare and serve a range of high-quality cocktails, wines, and spirits with precision.
* Develop signature cocktails that align with the restaurant’s theme of Irish produce with Asian influences.
* Maintain consistency in the quality of all drinks, ensuring they are prepared according to recipes.
* Customer Interaction:
* Provide a welcoming, personable, and professional service to guests.
* Engage with customers to understand their preferences and suggest drinks that suit their taste.
* Create an engaging bar experience through conversation and top-tier service.
* Bar Management:
* Maintain a well-organised, clean, and stocked bar area.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage stock levels and assist in ordering inventory to keep the bar fully equipped.
* Properly handle and maintain bar tools and equipment.
* Creativity & Innovation:
* Stay up to date with industry trends, particularly those involving cocktails, whiskey, sake, and innovative drink pairings.
* Regularly propose and test new cocktail recipes, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients when possible.
* Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with the kitchen team to create drink pairings for dishes and special menus.
* Collaborate with the bar manager and other bartenders on service strategies, promotions, and drink offerings.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute ideas for improving guest experiences.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Essential:
* Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a bartender in a high-end or fine-dining environment.
* Exceptional knowledge of spirits and cocktail making, with a focus on creativity and precision.
* Ability to create balanced and innovative cocktails that complement food offerings.
* Strong communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
* Knowledge of local Irish produce and/or experience.
* Desirable:
* Experience with cocktail pairings for tapas or small-plate dining.
* A flair for mixology and the ability to deliver theatrics when appropriate (e.g., creative presentation or interactive service).
* Knowledge of Irish whiskeys, local craft beers.
