Purpose of the Role
The successful candidate will work across warehousing operations to support the warehouse manager in daily operations.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage and pick orders post-production.
* Train warehouse staff in work status, network, and software applications.
* Dispatch all goods according to customer specifications.
* Conduct vehicle temperature checks.
* Check goods against the pick list and correct any discrepancies.
* Update sales dockets accordingly to reflect products checked in dispatch.
* Manage stock and conduct stock counts with the Stock controller, ensuring due process is followed to resolve ongoing issues.
* Participate in periodic warehouse inventories.
* Sustain continuous improvement activities in line with company strategy.
* Communicate effectively with peers and management on service levels, operational concerns, staffing matters, and any performance-related issues.
* Identify and address hazards within the warehouse category and actively manage H&S with the team.
* Manage staff performance and discuss any issues with the Warehouse Manager.
* Bring workload and scheduling problems to the attention of the Warehouse Manager.
* Cover warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager and may periodically manage secondary sites.
* Support and cover for goods in and out supervisors/managers, auction material, stock counts, return loads, and specialized warehousing policies and procedures.
* Ensure all work is safely carried out, including pallet building and wrapping.
