The Mechanical Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development team, driving NPD, sustaining, and continuous improvement projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply engineering best practices, standards, and technical expertise to execute product technical programs
* Create test plans, engineering analysis data, test methods, protocols, and reports
* Oversee test execution and root cause analysis activities
Main duties include collaborating with the multi-functional team to advance project tasks, utilizing Design for Six Sigma tools to improve product design, and validating test data significance. The Mechanical Engineer supports the design of mechanical components, produces design outputs (e.g., technical drawings and specifications), and works with Engineers, Technicians, and/or Operators during brainstorming and hands-on testing.
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, 1+ year of relevant industry experience, and knowledge of international standards applicable to medical devices. Experience in component design, assembly modelling, and data acquisition is preferred. As a key member of the development team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the trajectory of BD and leaving a lasting legacy.
