Job Title: Finance Assistant
We are currently seeking an exceptional Finance Assistant to support our finance team in their daily and monthly transactional duties.
Main Responsibilities:
* Bank Reconciliations: Verify and reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
* Raising Sales Invoices: Prepare and issue sales invoices to clients, addressing any queries or aged debt.
* Credit Card Reconciliations: Monitor credit card transactions and reconcile statements.
* Purchase Ledger, 3-Way Match: Maintain accurate records of purchases, ensuring that all transactions are properly matched and accounted for.
* Monthly Supplier Reconciliations: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Query Resolution: Identify and resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.
* Processing Subcontractor Invoices: Process subcontractor invoices, including CIS set-ups and verifications.
* Assisting with Month-End Payment Runs: Support the finance team with month-end payment runs.
* General Administration Duties: Perform general administration tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar finance role.
* CIS Subcontractors Tax: Knowledge of CIS subcontractors tax.
* Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in Excel and other IT systems.
* Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Sage/Xero Experience: Experience with Sage or Xero accounting software.
