The Person
This role will require a professional individual who is a fully qualified HGV Mechanic/Technician.
Responsibilities
1. Perform routine inspections of truck and trailer fleet.
2. Carry out diagnostic fault finding along with mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs.
3. Minor body repair works.
4. Managing and updating vehicle maintenance schedules, planning and reporting through Noone’s workshop system.
5. Liaise with the Fleet Manager on vehicle progress and defects that require attention.
6. Complete repairs to a high standard and efficiently within timelines in accordance with manufacture procedures.
7. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop while adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
1. Fully qualified and trained HGV Mechanic/Technician.
2. Have minimum 3 years’ experience in the industry.
3. Possession of HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 License is an advantage.
4. Fluent in English.
5. Experience with refrigerated trailers an advantage.
6. Excellent attention to detail.
7. Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
