Our client, a leading residential developer, is currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering high–quality, high–density residential projects across the Greater Dublin area.
The Role:
As a Building Services Engineer, you will work closely with the Building Services Manager and project teams to oversee the design, coordination, and installation of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from pre–construction coordination to commissioning and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and monitor the installation and quality of M&E systems on–site.
2. Support site teams with M&E coordination and problem–solving.
3. Collaborate with design teams to ensure smooth integration with architectural and structural elements.
4. Oversee M&E subcontractors to meet programme and quality standards.
5. Liaise with utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of essential services (electricity, gas, water, telecoms, etc.).
6. Manage any necessary service diversions in collaboration with utility providers.
7. Contribute to innovation and value engineering, focusing on best–in–class mechanical and electrical systems.
8. Oversee the management of temporary site utilities, such as electric and water systems.
About You:
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
2. Minimum of 4 years' post–qualification experience in a similar project management role.
3. Interest in energy management and emerging trends in residential building services.
4. Relevant trade background is an advantage but not essential.
5. Strong problem–solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Team player with excellent communication and relationship–building abilities.
7. Highly organised, self–motivated, and capable of working on your own initiative.
8. Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites across the Greater Dublin area.
