Job Title: Software Test Engineer
Description:
SiriusXM is launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM's global Product and Technology organization.
The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will work cooperatively with software engineers, product and program managers.
* Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and requirements.
* Assist in the development of manual and automated test cases.
* Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
* Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring quality and stability throughout the project.
* Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
* Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies to ensure exhaustive testing of software systems.
* Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
Requirements:
* BS in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
* 5 years of experience in software testing.
* Experience in Android application testing on hardware.
* Experience in testing HMI of infotainment systems is a plus.
* Application of software development life cycle concepts.
* Experience in software development and test automation is a plus.
* Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Experience with Git is a plus.
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Tester's mindset - Strong testing acumen and technical know-how to automate work.
* Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies.
* Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
