The Powerscourt Hotel, Resort & Spa is currently recruiting for a Casual Receptionist who is highly motivated, well organised and passionate about delivering memorable experiences to join our Front of House team.

About the role:
The receptionist is the first point of contact for our guests, representing the Front of House Department in a friendly, energetic, and professional manner while consistently delivering a Five-Star level of service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a memorable experience, working with all departments throughout the Hotel to deliver and exceed guest expectations.
Ideally, the candidate will have at least one year of experience working within a hotel’s reception. Opera PMS system knowledge and previous working experience within Marriott, while not essential, will be advantageous. The candidate should also demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, both written and oral. Responsibilities include handling all guest opportunities by following the guidelines and ensuring guest satisfaction, greeting all guests throughout the property, and attending to immediate needs upon arrival and throughout their stay.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining complete knowledge of all hotel facilities/services, hours of operation, guest room locations, and answering telephone calls within three rings using correct salutations and telephone etiquette. Completing the departmental daily checklists is also required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Strong command of the English Language
* Experience in hospitality would be beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to perform check-in and check-out at Reception.
* Excellent customer service skills
* Welcoming, friendly personality and manner
* Ability to prioritise and organise work
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, Bank Holidays, early shifts, and evening shifts.
* Ability to work with Outlook, Opera, Hotels, and Marriott systems.
* Ability to maintain hotel standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
* High concentration and decision-making skills, with follow-up where required.
* Maintain a high level of cleanliness in departmental areas.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
* Handling of Lost & Found inquiries
* Ascertain caller's needs and comply with them to ensure satisfaction.
* Enrol guests into the Marriott Loyalty program and assist all Bonvoy Marriott Members in-house.
* Other duties as required.
