Department
The Compliance Department ensures that SMT is adhering to the various controls and requirements set by the Central Bank of Ireland and the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. They provide advice and guidance to enable the successful strategic development of SMT's fund services/depositary business lines. The Department supports the SuMi Trust Group due to the regulatory nature of the role, and provide advice and deliver monitoring to a variety of areas and stakeholders.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly efficient and effective, enthusiastic person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience within a similar role. The role will give you the opportunity to impart your administrative and communication skills to support the Compliance Manager/Head of Compliance to enable the successful strategic development of our fund services/ depositary businesses. The successful applicant will gain a wide range of exposure across the SuMi Trust Group due to the regulatory nature of the role, and provide advice and deliver monitoring to a variety of areas and stakeholders. This role will be based in Dublin noting our enviable hybrid working arrangement whereby staff are required to attend the office at a minimum of 4 business days per month.
Core Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Compliance Manager and Head of Compliance on all administrative aspects of the Compliance Department’s tasks
* Ongoing update of key Compliance metrics including Team Task Lists, Compliance Regulatory Correspondence Log, Gifts and Entertainment Logs etc
* Updating and maintaining departmental policies and procedures
* Researching key compliance topics/upstream regulation
* Keeping up to date with regulatory developments
* Briefing management on regulatory developments and ongoing compliance obligations
* Supporting the ongoing compliance training programme for all company staff
* Preparation of material for committee/board reports relating to the regulatory responsibilities of the three regulated entities
* Assisting with the completion of the quarterly reporting for Head Office
* Assisting with ad hoc compliance requests/queries
* Maintenance of records related to regulated activities
* Support with other ad hoc Compliance projects
We're looking for someone with strong administrative, communication and project management skills who is highly efficient and organised and is open to stretch opportunities within the role to further their development from a knowledge and career perspective. Ideally, the candidate will have some administration/compliance experience within a financial service entity but this experience is not a pre-requisite for the role.
