The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HGV vehicle servicing and repairs. The primary responsibility of the Service Manager is to proactively develop and manage the workshop business and operations to maximize customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement daily operational plans for parts and service teams.
* Maintain an efficient workflow by verifying authorized work orders in the workshop.
* Establish and enforce high standards of cleanliness, organization, and maintenance within the workshop.
* Monitor and manage workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained, repaired, or replaced as needed.
* Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely parts availability.
* Provide technical assistance and support to workshop personnel as required.
* Drive sales growth by developing, maintaining, and communicating the services portfolio and solutions to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in service management, with a strong technical background.
* Possession of a qualified mechanic or engineering qualification.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
* Relevant experience working in the automotive industry.
* HGV license is an asset but not mandatory.
