AutoXpress is expanding, and we're looking for a skilled and qualified Auto/Motor Mechanic to join our team. If you have experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs, and can work efficiently in a busy environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as outlined in the job card, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on time.
* Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs after receiving authorization from the Service Manager or Advisor.
* Conduct vehicle health checks and Video Health Checks to identify any additional service or safety issues.
* Notify service advisors promptly if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed as promised.
* Road-test vehicles to confirm that repairs are completed properly.
* Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to company procedures and safety standards.
Requirements:
* Qualified Mechanic with certification.
* Proven experience in auto/motor mechanics, ideally in a car dealership environment.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain repairs or additional work to service advisors and customers.
* Experience using diagnostic equipment and modern vehicle electronics.
* A valid, full, clean driving license.
* Self-motivated with a focus on high-quality work and attention to detail.
