Quality Manager
The Quality Manager will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with production and maintenance teams to manage site Food Safety & Quality in compliance with all Legal and customer requirements.

Scope of the Role
* Work with departments and management colleagues to ensure food safety, quality, and legality of products produced, meeting customer specifications.
* Manage a team of QA to ensure best performance and collaboration.
* Provide technical expertise and advice on food safety.
* Manage, implement, and monitor the Food Safety Management system including the HACCP plan.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure food safety, quality, and legality of products produced.
2. Manage a team of QA to ensure best performance and collaboration.

4. Manage, implement, and monitor the Food Safety Management system including the HACCP plan.
5. Drive continuous improvement through developing and progressing quality systems and operational processes.
6. Lead by example, encouraging, managing, and developing the Quality Assurance team.
7. Support and participate in business improvement projects.
8. Support and assist the site as part of the HACCP/ TACCP teams.
9. Ensure all required departmental audits are carried out with effective corrective actions implemented and closed out in a timely manner.
10. Oversee the hygiene function to ensure effective hygiene of the site.
11. Ensure sites production records are validated on a timely basis.
12. Complete complaint investigations, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
13. Evaluate the effectiveness of pest control programs.
14. Conduct site risk assessments as guided.
15. Review and trend site microbiological results, identifying adverse results and coordinating effective corrective actions.
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
* Level 8 Degree in a food-related discipline.
* Previous Quality Management experience within the food manufacturing setting.
* Experience working within the ready meals industry would be an advantage.
* Extensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards, and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, and knowledge of food legislation.
* Experience of managing projects.
* Experience of managing people to achieve results.
* Experience working with retailers and their audit requirements.
* Experience working and implementing food safety management systems that comply with GFSI standards including BRC.
* Able to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Good IT skills and report writing skills.
* A passion for food and quality.
Salary
€55K - €65K per year
