Production Planner – Portlaoise
An international Chemical Manufacturing facility is currently seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team on the GMP site.
Role:
* The Production Planner plays a pivotal role in scheduling short and long-term production activities to meet customer and business demands, while executing all site activities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Execution
* Develop short and long-term production schedules aligned with customer requirements, organizational goals, and objectives.
* Collaborate closely with production and procurement teams to optimize resource utilization, monitor and maintain inventory levels, and meet customer commitments.
* Understand processing time, equipment capacities, and personnel capabilities.
* Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, implement process improvements and adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Coordinate with project managers and maintenance teams.
* Support new product initiatives, including conducting time studies, costing, process development, and training when necessary.
* Coordinate all activity required to complete production and shipping schedules.
Communication, Reporting, Analysis, and Safety
* Maintain clear communication channels with cross-functional teams, including KPI and metric reporting to management teams.
* Understand and collaborate with Quality teams to maintain product integrity and support investigations and audits.
* Collaborate with various teams to execute continuous improvement initiatives.
* Adhere to and promote strict environment, health, and safety protocols.
Requirements
* 3-5 years of production experience required.
* Proficiency in planning software and other relevant tools (MS: Excel, Word, PBI).
* High regard and respect for employees, customers, and suppliers.
* Experience working effectively within cross-boundary relationships.
* Open and straightforward in communications on all levels.
* 4-5 days on-site required.
