We are seeking an experienced Residential Manager to lead and manage the delivery and ongoing development of an assisted living residential service catering to the needs of older persons in the community, working closely with members and volunteers.
The job holder will regularly report updates and progress on all matters related to the service to The Conference/Management Committee. They will be line-managed by the National Children and Family Services Manager.
To be successful, candidates must possess:
* A third-level qualification at Level 7 NQF or higher in one or more of the following disciplines: Social Care, Social Work, Social Studies, Care of the Elderly, Healthcare, or other relevant discipline, along with at least three years of post-qualification experience in a leadership/management role in services for older persons.
* OR Experience in a leadership/management role in services for older persons for a minimum of six years.
Additional essential requirements include:
* Knowledge of relevant policy and best practice issues pertaining to older persons, person-centred care, and key agencies working on behalf of older persons.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in this area.
* Understanding of HSE standards for Adult Community Care and Older Person Services.
* Experience working directly with older persons or this age group in a support and/or residential setting.
* Experience leading a team.
* Experience in programme or group coordination focusing on personal, educational, emotional, and social development.
* Experience in the community/voluntary sector/social care environment.
