We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Director to contribute to our mission by:
Essential Job Duties – Planning and Strategy
- Working with community leadership, lead the IT strategy and align IT initiatives with the FVD business and operations strategy.
- Portfolio management of IT projects and investments. Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of IT work. Collaborate with FVD leadership and key stakeholders to ensure partnership and alignment.
- Perform and validate Return on Investments (ROI) analysis of technology projects and investments.
- Develop, maintain and own the IT governance process to ensure the technology work, projects, and investments are prioritized and aligned with FVD strategic and operational objectives.
- Partner with FVD leadership and key stakeholders to elicit and document business and operational requirements prior to any design/build work being performed.
- Drive innovation and automation through collaboration with FVD leadership, industry leaders, and external partners to further improve the experience, safety, and security of FVD residents and associates.
- Drive and own FVD IT Security and Compliance strategy and execution.
Essential Job Duties – Design and Build
- Lead the FVD IT team and technology vendor partners to elicit and develop technical requirements that align with FVD's business and operational requirements.
- Design, develop, install, and/or acquire solutions for community IT issues/needs.
- Perform and ensure comprehensive testing (unit, system, integration) are complete.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with key system users and stakeholders prior to launching any technology solution into production.
- Oversee the implementation of technical solutions.
Essential Job Duties – Run and Execute
- Direct, manage, recruit, and develop the workflow and community IT technicians.
- Serve as an escalation for IT community staff technical issues.
- Coordinate resources and execute projects and lifecycle upgrades.
- Support and maintain resident safety systems with appropriate testing and backups.
- Maintain network security by ensuring proper account creation/deletion, managing share permissions, and monitoring antivirus logs.
- Configure and monitor community backups to ensure data is properly backed up.
- Configure and manage network print server.
- Communicate with phone system vendor on system maintenance and repairs.
- Establish and/or maintain relationships with service vendors.
- Supervise information systems and communications networks.
- Establish and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access.
- Consult with administration, department managers, and manufacturing representatives to exchange information, present new approaches, and discuss equipment/system changes.
- Facilitate vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for Friendship Village Dublin.
Qualifications:
- Two or four-year college degree in a technical field is preferred; technical certifications and/or equivalent leadership experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant IT experience.
- Thorough knowledge of typical business IT environment and procedures.
- Leadership experience and the ability to guide and manage the workloads of others.
- Proven experience with project management, strategy, and vision of IT functions.
- Knowledge of networking, server administration, and phone systems.
