Your Role: Junior Facilities Engineer
You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare at Abbott in Kilkenny. As a Junior Facilities Engineer, you will liaise between various departments and external organisations to ensure the successful introduction of new or modified plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair, and maintain equipment within complex manufacturing areas, offices, and plant facilities.
2. Assist with Facilities projects and monitor expenditure accordingly.
3. Enhance the installation/maintenance of plant and equipment associated with site facilities and utilities apparatus.
4. Partner with area supervisors for the implementation of works with minimal disruption.
5. Represent the facilities team at local and Departmental meetings.
6. Suggest adoption of new technology and best practices in the industry.
7. Maintain all records and reports for the management team.
8. Adhere to Facilities department quality control procedures.
9. Champion the Department's sustainability Team.
10. Support Environmental Health & Safety personnel.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years related work experience.
2. Minimum Level 7 NFQ qualification or equivalent in Engineering.
3. Experience working in a regulated industry environment such as Medical; Aerospace or Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
