MongoDB seeks a Software Engineer to join our TechOps orgnaisation and grow its internal service offerings. Central to TechOps’ ability to provide the myriad of technical resources utilised daily by all company employees, the Engineering Corps is the first team called upon to realise and develop internal technical solutions to problems facing individual employees, teams, departments, and the company as a whole. The team’s impact is broad and reaches across the entire organisation. The team is full-stack in practice, and experienced service providers with a track record of timely delivery and delighted customers.

Position Expectations/Role Responsibilities/What you’ll do...
1. Develop features and write tests for a suite of internal tools and services
2. Contribute to functional specifications and design
3. Regularly review application code
4. Have lots of fun doing all of the above things
Qualifications/Requirements/We’re looking for someone with…
5. Has 2-3 years of experience developing APIs (Go is preferable, but not required)
6. Has experience with React, (Typescript preferred)
7. Is familiar with source-control systems, preferably Git
8. Is comfortable developing in a Linux environment and familiar with Docker/Kubernetes & CI/CD pipelines
9. Nice to have: Some experience with GraphQL servers or clients
10. Has excellent communication skills and a desire to experiment
11. Is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about developing usable software
Success Measures
12. In three months you will have made several small contributions to our codebase and documentation
13. In six months you will be a resident expert with one of our applications and make regular contributions
14. In one year you will be well on your way towards developing a major feature (or two!)
