We are looking for a proactive team leader that thrives in driving revenue and is passionate about the hospitality industry. The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for maximizing sales, driving the hotel brand, and overseeing the day-to-day running of the Sales and Marketing function of the hotel. This includes managing the sales, marketing, events, and revenue teams, harmonizing the culture and brand, and continuously driving standards, guest experience, and revenue of Lough Eske Castle.Key Role ResponsibilitiesWork with the General Manager, Revenue Manager, Cluster Revenue Manager, and Group Director of Sales & Marketing to deliver strategic business plans, including an annual sales & marketing plan aligned with hotel objectives and budget.Manage the Revenue, Sales, Marketing, and Events teams, driving individual development, achieving individual KPIs, team goals, and revenue targets while establishing a positive and cohesive team culture.Drive revenue across all segments, achieving revenue targets, identifying new business, securing groups, contracting transient accounts, and developing established key accounts.Attend and manage the sales & marketing team’s attendance at tradeshows, industry events, hosting FAM & press trips, and arranging client hotel events as required, including some international travel throughout the year.Manage sales & marketing expense budget and forecasts in line with hotel expectations and parameters.Work closely with the GDOSM and the Sales & Marketing Executive to ensure all key campaigns, brand, advertising, and marketing strategies are adhered to, including reputation management online.Complete monthly, weekly, and annual reporting as required.Collaborate with the Cluster Revenue Manager and General Manager to create up-to-date forecasts throughout the year.Keep up to date with market trends, competitors, tourism body initiatives, and relationships, reviewing/amending strategies accordingly in line with evolving market conditions and the hotel’s future plans.SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITYThorough and comprehensive knowledge of Sales & Marketing processes.Ability to direct, lead, train, motivate, and develop a cooperative and competitive team spirit with a positive attitude.Experience working collaboratively with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams.Excellent communicator and presenter, both orally and in writing.Solid understanding of marketing tools.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.Ability to work to deadlines, be proactive, and work a flexible schedule as required.Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to self-prioritize.Guest-centric, with an understanding of internal and external customer needs.Minimum RequirementsAny combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.3 years' experience in a senior sales position such as DoSM.Experience in the hospitality industry.Good written and verbal English.Valid driving license.Preferred RequirementsDegree level education.Any combination of education in hospitality management, business, sales, revenue, and/or marketing.Experience in the luxury hospitality market.TO APPLYTo apply, please send your CV and cover note to careers@lougheskecastlehotel.com.
