Job Title: Payroll Supervisor
This role involves managing the payroll process, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting the implementation of process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the fortnightly payroll process for staff and pensioners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Revenue and organisational policies.
* Prepare reconciliations and statutory returns, such as pensions and CSO reports, in line with deadlines.
* Generate high-quality reports and responses to external stakeholders, including the Department of Transport and Freedom of Information requests.
* Contribute to cash flow forecasting related to payroll payments.
* Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including HR, Revenue, and external service providers.
* Ensure robust internal controls and audit standards are maintained to support compliance.
* Contribute to the annual audit, financial statements, and budget preparation processes.
* Collaborate on projects aimed at improving business processes, including system upgrades and enhancements.
* Mentor and manage staff as required to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
* Minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification.
* At least 5 years relevant experience in Irish payroll, with 3 years in a finance role.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and maintain confidentiality.
* Familiarity with process improvements and system developments in a finance setting (desirable).
