Head of Finance
This is a key leadership role within the Senior Management team, responsible for leading and directing the finance function of the Infrastructure Manager business.
The successful candidate will have a professional accounting qualification and at least 10 years post-qualification experience. They will have director-level experience in accountancy practice or as Head of Finance in a large diverse organisation with construction experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and direct the finance function, ensuring all aspects of financial management are met.
* Provide financial advice to the Director and management team, supporting strategic decision-making.
* Develop and implement financial strategies that deliver a safe, efficient, affordable network supporting a high-performing railway.
* Manage risk, opportunity, and innovation within the finance function.
* Implement process improvements and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., FRS102).
* At least 10 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a senior finance role.
* Strong financial and business management skills, including people management and commercial management.
* Experience with SAP ERP, Financial Controlling, and Plant Maintenance Systems.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
