Job Description
Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Carlow. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Duties:
* Ensure that all planned maintenance and calibration tasks are completed on schedule.
* Collaborate with equipment owners and other departments to ensure best practice outputs.
* Work with coaches and maintenance sustaining engineers to apply lean tools to process data and complete improvements.
* Manage process/equipment improvements through project completion.
* Deliver training while focusing on continuous process improvement using Lean Principles.
* Troubleshoot equipment problems, identify needs for new equipment, and/or modifications to existing equipment.
* Drive change through our Change Control system.
* Serve as the point-of-contact for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.
* Provide support with audit/inspection requirements to ensure department compliance/readiness.
* Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
* Perform root cause analysis on system failures and substandard equipment performance.
* Provide input, review, and approval for atypical investigations.
* Oversee coordination of resources to implement suggestions/ideas of merit.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related Science, Engineering, or Technical discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in maintenance engineer/engineering role within a maintenance/engineering organization of a manufacturing facility (preferably GMP).
* Knowledge of regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European, and International Codes, Standards, and Practices.
* Knowledge of sterile filling processes and equipment.
* Autoclaves, Washers, SKIDS, Vessels knowledge is an advantage.
* cGMP and GDP knowledge preferred.
