Job Title: Planner
We are seeking a skilled Planner to join our client's manufacturing team in Shannon, Co. Clare, on a six-month fixed-term contract basis.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will possess strong project and time management skills, creativity, flexibility, and a drive for change.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, process, scan, and archive purchase orders.
* Collaborate with the supply chain team to support production and external customer needs.
* Work with all departments to comply with assigned company projects.
* Schedule daily and weekly material deliveries with the Lead Planner/Buyer.
* Provide feedback to customer service regarding customer expedite requests and order status updates.
* Advise on deliveries and plan job scheduling to the shop floor.
* Deal with vendor and customer contacts via phone and email.
* Liaise with production to obtain answers to expedited items.
* Ensure delivery of KPIs and weekly reports for management.
* Data entry on the ERP system and running work benches.
Requirements:
* Degree in a business-related discipline.
* Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
* Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage.
* Establish and achieve continuous improvement goals.
* Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Proactive self-starter who can work independently.
* Prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks.

The Offer:
This is a six-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. The role is fully onsite in Shannon, Co. Clare, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Estimated Salary:
+60,000 - +80,000 per annum depending on experience.
