Senior Placement Consultant at Ayrton Group
Ayrton Group has an immediate requirement for a Health and Safety Officer working on a major manufacturing facility upgrade project in the Cork region. This role will involve working closely with PSCS on-site.
This is an initial 6-month contract role with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting regular site audits/inspections to ensure health and safety compliance with Company and Client procedures/rules.
2. Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery, etc.).
3. Reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to legislation.
4. Inspecting premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g., not using protective equipment).
5. Managing, developing, and maintaining incident reporting and near misses and follow-up actions, identifying root causes, and implementing changes to prevent reoccurrences.
6. Reviewing the SWP’s (Safe Work Plans) for the tasks on site.
7. Carrying out Inductions and Toolbox talks as required.
Key Requirements:
1. 2+ years work experience in Health and Safety required.
2. Minimum of a Diploma in Health and Safety.
3. Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
4. Experience in Construction is required.
5. Previous experience in a Manufacturing facility would be beneficial.
6. Ability to work on own initiative and be innovative.
7. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
9. You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
