Key Responsibilities:
* Actively lead the Food Safety & Quality Management activities across the sites Operations;
* Audit the FS & Quality practices and processes within the site focusing on the prevention of deviations;
* Responsible for ensuring the sites traceability systems are maintained effectively;
* Key Co Ordinator in liaising with the DAFM, along with the facilitating of regulatory and customer auditors as may be required;
* Coordination of the sites Management of Change process including assignment of effective RCAs (root cause actions) for all process deviations to the appropriate owners and driving these action owners to deliver robust CAPA to agreed timelines;
* Management of the trending & reporting of complaints & key quality KPIs;
* Key responsibility to ensure the food safety culture, VACCP & TACCP systems are maintained as a key focus on the site;
* Ensure employees are trained to the correct standard to carry out their full range of duties in Quality Assurance, Quality control and Food Safety;
* Oversee CCP & QCP verification;
* Work closely with other departments in delivering quality processes with respect to customers, production and suppliers;
* Ensure all critical site instrumentation use in the plant is maintained appropriately and calibrated;
* Manage sections of the quality system that are assigned by the Site Head of Quality;
* Fulfil any other reasonable responsibility or duty as identified or requested by the Site Head of Quality;
Requirements:
* Third Level Degree in Science or equivalent;
* 12 months or more in an In-process Quality environment;
* Industry Lab experience in the Dairy and or Food & Beverage sector;
* Highly skilled in troubleshooting, fault finding & root cause analysis on plant/process issues;
* Good working knowledge of GMP best practices;
* Experience operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector;
* Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team;
* Strong problem-solving skills and experience in applying the principles of Lean;
* Strong team-working and communication skills;
* Aptitude for operational processes, working with cross-functional teams and continuous improvement;
