The Junior Process Technician plays a key role in supporting process operations and assisting in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes.
This role involves monitoring and adjusting process parameters, ensuring product quality, and working alongside senior technicians to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
Key Responsibilities: Operate and monitor production machinery, making minor adjustments as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Assist in setting up and calibrating equipment for production runs, ensuring processes meet defined specifications.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and processes, identifying any abnormalities and escalating issues as necessary.
Perform product quality checks, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Document process parameters and test results, highlighting any variations or issues.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to senior staff for process optimisation.
Support senior technicians with troubleshooting and repair activities for equipment breakdowns and process inefficiencies.
Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and document maintenance activities accurately.
Adhere strictly to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, promptly addressing potential hazards.
Participate in safety training and hazard analysis efforts as directed.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality control, to achieve production goals.
Actively participate in team meetings, offering suggestions for process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills: Experience in plastics industry or extrusion is a massive benefit.
1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Basic mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, with exposure to process operations.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in process optimisation and equipment operation.
Ability to lift [specify weight limit, e.g., 25kg], stand for long periods, and work in various conditions (heat, noise, etc.).
Working Conditions: These employees work on a 4 week shift pattern rotation and work 12-hour shifts including nights and days.
