The Team
The People and Capability Office has overall responsibility for crafting and implementing a vision for organisational transformation, driving initiatives that support EirGrid strategic goals in people management, internal communications, and process enhancement.

The People and Capability Office ensures that the standards of property and facilities are maintained by leveraging the services of third-party providers in a cost-effective manner.
Job Purpose
The role holder's function is to manage vendor activities and maintain both existing and new vendor relationships.
The role holder will ensure that value is extracted from the relationships and the appropriate level of service is maintained for EirGrid.
The role holder will work as part of a small team of Workplace Experience experts, under the leadership of the Head of Workplace, Health & Safety & Security.
This role will suit a person who is experienced in the area of Facilities Management contracts.
A knowledge of physical security and health and safety functions would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities Manage vendor activities working with external vendors and internal employees.Manage the day-to-day operational relationship with the workplace facilities providers to ensure EirGrid needs are met.Manage vendor to ensure they fulfill their contractual obligations.Negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices for products and services.Troubleshoot all vendor problems and present/escalate to management as required.Oversee the key Service Agreements including quality auditing, tracking, and reporting on KPIs and assist with reporting internally and budget management.Build and maintain effective client and stakeholder relationships internally and externally across multiple levels of the organisation.Review and update Policies and Procedures that relate to the workplace.Support the mobilisation of new contracts as required.Management of relevant procurement processes including the drafting and issuing of tenders in collaboration with key personnel.Manage service improvement plans as required. Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience of managing third party vendors.Strong process and operational skills with prior experience of day-to-day operational vendor management.Qualification in Contract management.An understanding of building management services.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Adept at negotiating vendor contracts.Excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented and demonstrable delivery of innovative solutions.Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.Demonstrable expertise in influencing, negotiating, and bringing about change.This opportunity is being offered on a 6-month fixed term contract basis.
