Job Description
As an Applications Analyst with our public sector client, you will play a crucial role in implementing new applications and systems to improve healthcare services.
The position is initially for 18 months, with the possibility of extension. You will work 35 hours per week as an agency employee and receive a competitive hourly rate based on an annualised salary.
You will be employed fully onsite in Dublin 8 and will have access to 30 days' annual leave per year.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning Phase: Understand the current state of systems, engage with stakeholders, and identify requirements.
* Undertake training on relevant systems and applications, including Oracle Health.
* Develop in-depth knowledge of existing Oracle Health systems, particularly Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and Patient Administration System.
* Document and map clinical, administrative, or information management workflows to identify requirements.
Support risk identification associated with new application implementation and propose solutions or escalate issues as needed.
Participate in cross-professional working groups to advise on new processes and workflows.
* Suggest changes to system design and redesigns.
* Support creation of system design specifications based on requirements and industry best practice.
* Develop user set-up and authentication processes for new applications.
Maintain open communication channels with hospital staff, stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure optimal system design.
Delivery Phase:
* Configure and test new applications using project management software and verbal/written communication skills.
* Support development of testing strategy, test scripts, and participate in testing activities.
* Analyse and review test progress, identifying recommendations to maintain schedules.
* Raise any risks or issues highlighted through testing.
Work closely with team members to support user training, developing and maintaining training resources.
Support organisational readiness activities during the project and before system go-live.
* Assist with business continuity planning for planned or unplanned system downtimes.
* Participate in on-call rota and 24/7 support during go-live and post-go-live stabilisation and optimisation phases.
We require applicants with at least two years of experience in a related role and sufficient administrative and technical capacity to discharge the functions of the grade.
Desirable qualifications include knowledge/experience of working with hospital IT systems, experience of working relationships within a hospital, and experience of project management principles.
