Job Description
This organisation is a tier 1 company, working on a large infrastructure project in Cork. The role is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintain effective communications with the Commercial Director, Construction Director, project management and other associated disciplines to enhance the profile of commercial team within the project management team.
* Be responsible for the commercial management of a project or projects, including management of accounts with clients and supervision of management of accounts with supply chain partners.
* Staff matters include staff succession awareness, recruitment, development, attitude and behavioural issues, competency and retainment issues, staff allocation.
* Provide commercial contact with supply chain partners through pre-contract meetings, contract vetting and input to subcontract documents.
* Ensure audits are carried out and feedback is provided to the business.
* Provide commercial input to contacts with clients, and if necessary, client's representatives.
* Provide commercial advice to the site team in connection with all project issues and provide input to area commercial discussions / reviews.
* Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.
* Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and company tied costs.
* Obtain cash-flow information and present all reports.
Candidate Requirements:
* Successful experience as a Commercial Manager working with multiple projects.
* Member of a Professional Institution or working towards application of Registration of title and or Chartership.
* Open collaborative approach and willing to help and assist those around you.
* Knowledge and experience in PWC, NEC and FIDIC or similar forms of contract.
* Educated to Degree level in a relevant Commercial, Construction or Project Management qualification.
