Job Summary
Duration: Temporary contract post, the indicative duration of which is 8 months, subject to contract.

Location: Kildalton Agricultural College, Kildalton, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny
Background: Kildalton is the largest Teagasc college and a leading provider of training in Agriculture, Horticulture and Equine Studies in Ireland with over 1,300 students attending courses every year. In addition to providing QQI accredited courses at levels 5 and 6, Kildalton College also provides courses at levels 7 and 8 with the South East Technological University (formerly WIT) making the college a progressive learning facility in the South East. The equine unit consists of an indoor and two outdoor arenas, an all-weather cross country track, stable blocks, tack rooms, a horse walker, and a breeding enterprise. With some 50 horses available for practical work, equine students receive excellent training in the care and management of horses, handling of young horses, and horse riding.
Responsibilities:
1. Development and delivery of the equine training programmes at the college.
Salary Range: Agr Development Officer Grade I with a Salary Scale of €40,580 to €77,284
