Procurement Manager
We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead and shape procurement strategies within a Multinational company. The successful candidate will oversee the entire procurement process, focusing on category-based supplier selection, which includes General, Admin, and Production procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the procurement process for category-based supplier selection, ensuring that all purchases align with the organisation's needs.
* Develop and implement effective bidding, negotiation, and price comparison strategies to secure the best pricing for products and services.
* Manage and coach the procurement team, instilling a strong understanding of procurement's core value, cost-effective negotiation skills, and awareness of procurement contract risks.
* Negotiate prices with vendors, fostering relationships that yield optimal results.
* Collaborate with various departments to ensure all procurement activities meet organisational requirements.
* Evaluate vendor qualifications to determine the most suitable partners for the organisation's needs.
* Prepare management reports and key performance data, and monitor cost savings on a monthly basis.
* Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring open and effective communication.
* Regularly report on target achievements, upcoming work plans, and identify potential risks to the organisation.
* Address all invoices and payment inquiries from suppliers while monitoring payment progress.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field. Higher qualifications are advantageous.
* 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2-3 years in a purchasing role within a telecommunications company or other global organisations.
* Fluent in Mandarin
* Strong understanding of purchasing, negotiation techniques, commercial insight, and cost breakdowns.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
* Outstanding organisational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* A strong work ethic and a desire to achieve excellence in all endeavours.
Work Environment:
This position is based in our client's office in Dublin, requiring a commitment to work five days a week.
