Overall Job Purpose:
To provide a friendly and efficient service within the food and beverage areas, dispensing orders accurately and courteously to the standards required by the company. Ensure cleanliness, correct mise-en-place, and setup of the waiting areas prior to service. Ensure guests are warmly greeted; orders are taken efficiently and served to a high standard to ensure guest satisfaction.
Role Specific Duties:
* Arrive for work on time and in proper uniform
* Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming
* Clock in/out adhering to the Company Clocking Policy
* Maintain cleanliness in the bar/restaurant/banquet areas
* Efficiently dispense and serve drinks and food when required
* Be aware of menu items of the day and drink services
Deliver exceptional friendly service to every guest, in line with the Talbot Collection 'Empower Your Excellence' customer service program.
* Adhere to all Fire, Safety, and Hygiene regulations and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2005 as detailed in your staff handbook
* Familiarize and adhere to Company Policies and procedures as outlined in your staff handbook
* Carry out duties laid out in the departmental SOPs
* Safeguard Company money, goods, and assets
* Handle customer complaints efficiently and professionally, notifying Management as needed
* Upsell Company products and services where possible
* Ensure waiting areas are fully prepared for service
* Serve all food and drinks efficiently with minimum delay
* Liaise closely with the kitchen
* Accurately take all orders
* Anticipate guest needs at all times
* Create a warm and welcoming environment for guests
Meet and greet guests on arrival and ensure they are seated and provided with menus promptly.
Respond promptly and effectively to all guests' requests and queries, delivering exceptional service.
Be familiar with the Bar menu and all food and beverage offerings to answer guests' questions.
Take food and beverage orders and ensure they are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
Ensure safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations, maintaining an exceptional level of service.
Ensure all food and beverage orders are inputted in the tills and charged correctly, with no open checks at the end of the shift.
Set up, clear, and promptly service tables after use to ensure guests can be seated in a timely manner.
Clean and sanitize tables and countertops after each guest.
Health & Safety:
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Complete required cleaning tasks in accordance with the Bars daily and weekly tasks sheet, ensuring high standards.
Keep storage areas clean, tidy, and safe.
Report any faults or problems with equipment in the Bar.
* Take proactive involvement in Health and Safety, reporting and acting on incidents, accidents, or damage in the Hotel. Bring suggestions or ideas to management's attention.
Work to minimize risks to the health and safety and security of self and others.
Personal Development:
Ensure personal mandatory training is up to date.
Review work against the role requirements and identify any development areas with the help of others.
* Be present and punctual for all in-house/external training programs as requested.
Additional Duties:
Deliver exceptional friendly service at all times in line with the Talbot Collection 'Empower Your Excellence' customer service program.
Act professionally, respectfully, politely, and helpfully in all dealings with guests and colleagues, recognizing that you are an 'ambassador' of the Talbot Collection.

* Adhere to all fire, safety, and hygiene regulations and comply with the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
* Proactively maintain energy efficiency in the property, particularly regarding electricity, water, and waste. Bring suggestions or ideas to management's attention.
* Comply with all policies, procedures, and memos of the Collection.
* Perform any other sundry tasks not mentioned but within the scope of the job.
