ALONE support older people to age at home. We provide direct, frontline services to people aged 60 and over, through support coordination, support and befriending, housing with support, and the application of assistive technology. We have a national network of staff and more than 3,000 volunteers across the country We have been awarded Quality Marks from Volunteer Ireland, the ISO, the Charities Regulator and the Housing Regulatory Standard.
We are now recruiting a Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract.
ALONE’s newly formed Research & Evaluation department is focused in the development and implementation of a comprehensive evaluation system and framework for the organization, and working in partnership with external stakeholders to ensure evidence is used to develop better solutions for the challenges in the age sector.
This role reports to the Senior Research & Evaluation Manager.
Responsibilities
· Support the Senior Research & Evaluation Manager in the development and implementation of a research and evaluation strategy for ALONE.
· Support ALONE with the continuous development and implementation of a robust monitoring and evaluation framework.
· Work with stakeholders to enhance ALONE’s Management Information System as an effective case management and evaluation tool.
· Develop training for staff in relevant evaluation and quality improvement initiatives
· Support the development of KPI’s and oversee the preparation of regular performance and activity monitoring reports in a high-quality, user-friendly format.
· Providing ongoing support to ALONE staff in planning, implementing, and reporting on evaluation projects.
· Work with key stake holders within ALONE to ensure evidence is used to inform service design, delivery, blogs internal and external newsletters etc.
· Ad hoc tasks as required
What you'll need
· Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in psychology or social science required
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a research/evaluation role or similar role
· Previous experience in conducting quantitative and or qualitative research
· Experience with statistical data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, Stata)
· Working knowledge of healthcare information systems/clinical data management or similar a distinct advantage.
· Previous experience working with data visualization tools is desirable but not required.
· Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft suite including Excel and PowerPoint
· Proven track record of communicating complex data to a wide range of professions with a varied background.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrate a passion for improving the lives of older people and commitment to ALONE’s mission
