Job Description
This is an exciting time to join the Enisca Group, a multi-disciplinary Design, Engineering and Construction business operating in the water utility sector.
The Estimator will play a key role in developing and refining the estimation process, improving efficiency, clarity and accuracy while reducing overall costs. The role involves working on a wide range of bids and tenders, including secured long-term contracts and frameworks across the UK within the construction, water, wastewater, and utilities sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within the wider Enisca team to source information, develop the company's proposition and manage the flow of information.
* Prepare accurate estimates and tender bids from customer documentation, specifications, and other related information and standards.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify appropriate suppliers and subcontractors from the company's supplier database or the client's preferred supplier list.
* Generate enquiries, obtain, and analyse quotes for tender requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Achieve competitive quotations and secure pre-bid agreements.
* Collate detailed price lists and bills of quantities of everything needed on each project, including calculating and presenting the cost of people, plant, materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire to help inform the tender bid submission.
* Provide progress reports on all bid and tender opportunities.
Skills/ Qualifications:
* A third-level qualification in a related discipline, e.g., Electrical/Engineering, Construction/Quantity Surveying or 2-3 years experience in the same or similar role.
* Hold a full UK driving licence.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
