PE Global Healthcare is recruiting a Registered Nurse Prescriber for a leading client in Kildare. To be eligible, you must reside in Ireland and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

Main Duties:

* Plans and delivers nurse-led clinics and interventions for individuals with complex needs.
* Prescribes and monitors medication for managing complex mental health needs under consultant psychiatrist supervision.
* The registered nurse prescriber uses prescriptive authority safely and effectively, following their training, policy, and practice standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Contributes to assessing complex mental health needs within the multidisciplinary team and refers to the decision-making framework for nurse and midwife prescribing when prescribing.
* Maintains comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures, including adherence to the policy on nurse medicinal product prescribing.
* Displays strong organisational/time management skills, able to manage competing demands.
* Reviews, monitors, and evaluates medication treatment plans designed by the psychiatry team.
* Reviews PRN protocols & mental health relapse plans/ specific health management plans as required.
* Adheres to the NMBI's practice standards and guidelines for nurses and midwives with prescriptive authority.
* Remains accountable for staying up-to-date with advances in prescribing and clinical practice.
Qualifications:
* Registration in the Nurse Prescribers Division of the Nurses Register of Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of relevant standards and legislation.
Experience:
* Experience in nursing prescribing in an ID and/or MH service.
