We are collaborating with one of Ireland's Leading Suppliers of material handling and customized automation solutions. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a client site in Portlaoise.
Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Portlaoise
Role Overview: As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish standard equipment and system components.
* Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
* Maintain precise and up-to-date maintenance procedures.
* Schedule and execute preventative maintenance tasks.
* Proactively work to achieve performance targets.
* Support engineering projects and lead maintenance group actions.
* Provide detailed feedback on issues through the electronic management system.
* Apply hands-on expertise to resolve machine failures.
* Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly as needed.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician role.
* Craft Certificate Level 6 in Mechanical Maintenance or Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical.
* Experience in postal sortation is advantageous but not essential.
* Competence in troubleshooting PCs, PLCs, pneumatic, mechanical, IT, and electronic/electrical systems.
* Strong analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
* In-depth knowledge of automated and conveying systems.
* Experience in general maintenance and technical cleaning.
